I got these over a week ago in the mail, and just now remembered I had told some people I would post about them and share. Our experience books from Snapfish are a huge hit around our house! I’d read online about them a lot, but it wasn’t until Danny’s Claire suggested we make a little photo album with pictures of the family that I got off my tush and got them made. Being lazy – er, I mean, technically savvy – I went to the Internet and remembered hearing someone else say that Snapfish had books that worked well.
(For those not familiar, an experience book is like a mini-scrapbook, with photos of familiar people, items, occasions, and events that can be used to help build language through recognizable images.)
They were right!

I ended up making 3, because I am obsessive – er, dedicated. I figure the Halloween one can be used well next year, and fall is definitely useful this year, plus the family one of course. Snapfish does, indeed, make it easy for cheap; they were quite inexpensive, and a quick Google search found me a coupon code that gave me 30% off the whole order! They come with a plastic coil binding and a clear cover front and back, and Danny’s had no problem flipping pages and getting into them. The process of building them was just as easy as building a photo card or anything else, they’ve got a fun selection of designs if you want a border, and the option of adding text is one I particularly liked because I can use it with Eric to help his letter recognition.
The boys L-O-V-E them. Both of them love to sit down and flip through them, Eric rattling off what he’s seeing and pointing to things, Danny just in wonder. He laughs when he sees pictures of himself and sometimes Eric. Hopefully, eventually, he’ll pick up some words or names. For now, we’re having fun, and I’ll definitely be hitting up Snapfish again for books.

Yay! Thanks for posting! I am always great about posting the good deals from snapfish, but rarely get around to actually utilizing them. I need to do one for family. I usually just use the $1 albums and stuff them now that Tayten is older and not pulling every picture out of the thing!
They turned out great! Thanks again for sharing.
So cool! I need to get off my tush too and get a few ordered! These are wonderful and just think of the language Eric will offer Danny while looking through them! Thanks for the motivation!
Those are cool!
