What is Cub Scouting?

Cub Scouting is fun! Boys and girls, Kindergarten through fifth, can be part of the adventure. Do you like to learn by doing? This is just the place. You can learn to tie knots, set up a tent, shoot a bow and arrow (archery). Have you ever cooked a meal on a campfire? Sent a secret code to a buddy? Built a birdhouse? Played Ultimate? Hiked? Made a movie? Earn rewards for doing these things in Cub Scouts!

In our Pack, we seek to grow character, independence, and life-long skills – all while having a ton of fun. About Us

Cub Scout Pack 857 of St. Peters, MO, consists of boy & girl Cub Scouts from Kindergarten (Lions) to 5th Grade (Arrow of Light). We are chartered by the Lewis & Clark Elementary PTC, and are made up of youth from all over St. Charles County.

The larger Pack, consisting of all grade levels, meets once a month. Dens are smaller, grade-specific groups which generally meet twice a month. We also hold monthly events to enrich the Scouting experience for all youth!

Our Program

Our Pack is dedicated to working together with our Scouts and families to make Scouting everything is can be! Of course, that includes the big draws: summer camp every year, family camping twice a year, and the annual Pinewood Derby.

It also includes the little things. During the school year, activities like pack hikes and service projects keep our scouts engaged in the community. In the summer, we host family activities like mini-golf, fishing, and our end of summer picnic. Year round, we look for new, fun ways to keep kids learning and having fun.
