Bears

Bears are in third grade or 9 years old. After completing the requirements of the Bobcat rank (either this or in a previous year), youth may go on to complete the requirements for the Bear rank and the many electives offered to this rank.

Bear Requirements

1. Complete each of the following Bear required adventures with your den or family:
   a. Baloo the Builder
   b. Bear Claws
   c. Bear Necessities
   d. Fellowship and Duty to God
   e. Fur, Feathers, and Ferns
   f. Paws for Action (Duty to Country)
2. Complete at least one Bear elective adventure of your den or family’s choosing.
3. With your parent or adult partner, complete the exercises in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children From Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide, and earn the Cyber Chip award for your age.
